Streaming BBC Programmes
BBC iPlayer is a free on-line video streaming site offering catch-up TV of recent programmes and streams live broadcasts of all BBC channels to residents of the UK.
At the Video Add-ons screen select the BBC iPlayer add-on:
The first screen that is displayed when using this add-on offers various methods to find the programmes you’re looking for:
My Searches
If you know the name of the programme you want to watch select “My Searches” then select “Search”:
This will display an on-screen keyboard. Type in the name of the programme you are looking for (in this example I typed Horizon) and select “Done”:
Select the programme you want to watch from the list. This will display the available streams; green items are high quality streams, red are lower quality streams. Which you choose will depend on how fast your internet connection is:
I advise trying the green ones first and if the stream starts to buffer i.e. pauses every so often try one of the red ones instead. The greater the kilo-bits per second (kbps) the better the video quality:
Most Popular
If like me you sometimes don’t know what you want to watch, you can always choose to list the most popular programmes people are streaming. Select “Most Popular” from the list:
Select the programme you want to watch from the list. This will display the available streams; green items are high quality streams, red are lower quality streams. Which you choose will depend on how fast your internet connection is:

iPlayer A-Z
If you know the first letter of the programme name you want to watch you can select “iPlayer A-Z” and select the letter your programme starts with:
Select the name of the programme you want to watch:
Select the episode:

If you want to search for programmes by category select “Categories”:

Live
If you want to watch live programmes select “Live” to display a list of all channels:
Navigate to and select the channel:
Once selected the programme will start:
